House rules

• Check-in: from 3:00 pm. Check-out: by 11:00 am. If you would like to arrive earlier or leave later, write to us; we will help if we can.
• The keys are in a code lock box next to the front door. We send you the code on the day of arrival.
• When you go hiking, we recommend leaving the key in the box. That way you won't lose it, and whoever comes back first can get in.
• At check-out, leave the key in the box.
• On arrival we will ask for the details from your ID, to register the guests as required by law.
• Only the guests in the booking may stay in the chalet: at most 4 in Nuka Single and 6 in Nuka Double. Visitors are welcome only with our consent.

The fireplace is one of the joys of the chalet. For safe use:

• Feed the fire gradually, a few logs at a time, without overloading it. A small, steady fire heats better and is easier to control.
• Open the fireplace door slowly. Before opening it fully, check the logs and embers so that nothing burning falls out.
• Do not leave the fire unattended.
• We provide fire starters for lighting the fire. Using anything else (petrol, alcohol, thinners or other flammable liquids) is strictly forbidden.
• Do not burn rubbish, plastic, treated cardboard or anything other than wood.
• The fireplace and the area around it stay very hot even after the fire seems to be out. Do not leave children unattended nearby.
• If you are unsure about anything, call us before handling the fire.

• You receive one basket of firewood for every two nights of your stay, rounded up. For example, a 3-night stay comes with 2 baskets.
• Extra firewood can be requested at any time during your stay, at 40 lei per basket.
• You don't need a lot of wood for a pleasant fire; thank you for using it wisely.

• In the cold season, the chalet is set to 22–23°C. We recommend this temperature for a cosy atmosphere.
• Do not leave the windows open while the heating or the air conditioning (Nuka Double) is on.
• When you leave the chalet, close the doors and windows, switch off the lights and turn off any appliances you don't need.
• Using them wisely helps us keep the chalet warm and welcoming for every guest.

• Please don't waste water and turn the taps off fully after use.
• The washing machine is available only in Nuka Single, for stays of 5 nights or more.

Treat the chalet with the same care as your own home:

• Do not move furniture between rooms or outside.
• The items and decorations in the chalet are not for outdoor use.
• Do not put dirty shoes on the furniture or the beds.
• Tell us as soon as possible about anything broken or not working. If something gets damaged by accident, let us know: we always prefer to sort things out simply and amicably.

• The terraces are raised above the ground: keep an eye on children on the terrace and the steps. In winter the steps can be slippery with snow or ice.
• Fireworks are forbidden because of the nearby forest.
• Do not leave lit candles unattended, indoors or outdoors.
• In an emergency call 112. Address: Str. Păstrăvăriei, Poiana Mărului, Caraș-Severin county.
• The fire extinguisher and the first-aid kit are in the cupboard in the small hallway.
• We are not responsible for valuables left unattended.
• Hiking, cycling, activities on the lake and using the barbecue are at your own risk.

• The chalet is a place to relax. Please respect the quiet hours 11:00 pm – 8:00 am and keep noise at a reasonable level, especially outdoors.
• Parties and events are not allowed.

• Smoking indoors is forbidden, including e-cigarettes and vapes.
• Outdoors you may smoke only using the ashtrays provided.

• The barbecue and the fire pit may be used only in the designated areas. Do not move the barbecue or light fires anywhere else.
• Do not leave the fire unattended and make sure it is completely out after use.
• Do not throw plastic or rubbish into the fire and keep flammable materials away from it.
• Do not light a fire in strong wind or dry weather.

• The chalets are at the edge of the forest, in an area with bears and other wild animals. Do not leave food scraps or rubbish outside overnight and close the bins properly.
• Put rubbish only in the bins provided; do not leave it in the garden or around the chalet.
• Do not damage the plants and trees.

• We accept small pets that are used to living indoors, only with our prior consent, for a fee of 50 lei per day.
• Make sure they don't damage the furniture, textiles or outdoor areas, and clean up after them.

• Use the designated parking spaces and keep the access to the chalets clear.
• In winter, winter tyres are mandatory; when it snows heavily, we recommend carrying snow chains.

• For the safety of our guests and the property, the outdoor area (entrance, parking and garden) is under video surveillance. There are no cameras inside the chalets.
• The footage is used only for security, kept for at most 30 days and processed in line with the law (GDPR). See our Privacy Policy for details.

• Damage caused by negligence is paid for by the guests.
• In the event of a serious breach (parties, more guests than booked), we reserve the right to end the stay without a refund.

Before you leave, please:

• check that you haven't left any personal belongings;
• wash the dishes or put them in the dishwasher and take the rubbish to the bins;
• close the windows and doors, switch off the lights and turn off the appliances;
• leave the key in the box next to the door.
